Founders Celebration and Campaign Finale

The Future is Rising campaign came to a close on March 27, 2014 at the annual Founders Celebration Banquet. The 7-year campaign was started by former SUU President Michael T. Benson and raised more than $105.5 million. Following the banquet, SUU celebrated with student, faculty, staff community members, alumni, donors and friends with a free concert in the Centrum Arena featuring Kenny Loggins, The Return (Beatles Tribute Band) and student favorite Chris Wallace. What a fantastic conclusion to a very successful campaign!

Campaign Statistics
  • Campaign Goal: $100,000,000
  • Total Raised: $105,459,919
  • Total number of donors: 8,028
  • Total number of gifts: 18,987
  • Total number of new donors: 3,757
  • Total number of new scholarships: 200+
  • Employee Giving went from 151 in 2007 to 450 by the end of the campaign - 88% participation rate was the high during the campaign.
