A groundbreaking ceremony was held on March 27, 2014 for the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts. This center will be home to the The Engelstad Shakespeare Theatre and Southern Utah Museum of Art two new buildings. This center will also encompass the existing Randall Jones Theatre, Costume and Craft Workshops, Rehearsal/Education Space, and a Studio Theatre.
This theatre has been a dream 53 years in the making by the Founder of the Utah Shakespeare Festival Fred Adams. The Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center For The Arts is expected to open in 2016, bringing professional performance and art in a world class facility to community and student audiences as well as out-of-town guests.
